Covid 19 Update

🌟 🌟BREAKING NEWS! 🌟🌟

The Chief Dental Officer has announced that dentistry is to STAY OPEN during the lockdown starting on 05/01/2021.

Understandably, our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and team, and we are requesting all our patients adhere to the following when attending the surgery:

– Complete all your paperwork beforehand by email, to include a COVID health screening so that we can ensure it is safe for you to attend your appointment.
– Ensure we have both an up to date mobile number and an email address so we can stay in touch, and send all the paperwork electronically.
– Stay in your car until your appointment time, and try and attend alone where possible, unless you are bringing a child.
– Use the bathroom at home before you arrive, as ours will not be available for your use due to cross infection control.
– Wear a face covering when attending the surgery.
– Wait for a member of staff to let you into the practice, as we are operating a closed door policy.
– Upon entry, sanitise your hands with the no touch sanitiser at the door.
– If you have any symptoms of COVID, please contact us to postpone your appointment. Similarly, if you have been asked to isolate, please contact us and we will re-arrange your appointment.

We remain open for all dental treatment, both non urgent and urgent.
We have plenty of PPE, and have been fully trained, and have been operating our extremely safe COVID Standard Operating Procedure since we re-opened in June 2020.

In the meantime, if you have questions, please feel free to send us an email on [email protected], or call us on 0113 263 2960.

*01/11/2020 Lockdown update – we’re staying open*

To all of our patients and new patients requiring care – we will remain open throughout this and any further lockdown periods.  Your dental care is very important to us and we are committed to providing you with a safe and comprehensive dental service.

Our strict cross infection controls will remain in place and we ask you to attend for your appointments alone where possible. You will be required to wear a facemask within communal areas for the protection of all staff and patients.

Shielding patients will continue to be seen on a pre-arranged basis. Please do not attend the practice without an appointment. You can either ring us or email us via www.indigodental.co.uk

Whilst we are unable to offer emergency NHS care to non registered patients, we will be able to offer independent urgent care.

If you prefer to rearrange your pre booked appointments, please give us at least 24 hours notice. If for any reason we need to rearrange your appointments, we will give you as much notice as possible.

Once again, we thank you for your continued support and we are proud that you have been there for us as we are for you. We are, like many others, a small independent business – we all need each other.

Stay safe and united in these challenging times.

All the best

As we are continuing to see all patients who are experiencing pain, as well as more routine procedures, we would like to continue to emphasise the need for social distancing and wearing PPE as per government guidelines, in line with our COVID Standard Operating Procedures.

We are fully equipped with all the PPE required to undertake all dental procedures, and are booking appointments into the diary, bearing in mind the current legislation around aerosol generating procedures, and social distancing.

You will be required to fill in all relevant forms on your electronic device before you enter the practice from the comfort of your home. This means that you will not have to touch a pen, paper, or any electronic device other than your own when you attend your appointment. We will ask that you pay using a contact-less card or online payment method. This crucial step greatly reduces touch points at the practice.

Between all appointments as always, the dental team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery, reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful while you are in our dental chair.

This includes our dental hygienist, who is now back at work as before and offering late evenings and weekend appointments.
We would like to thank all our patients for their patience during this time, and respectfully request that you continue to bear with us as we are trying to ensure that we contact all our patients in due course.

In the meantime:

IF you are in pain during working hours, please call us on 0113 263 2960 or send us an e-mail to [email protected] and a member of our team will triage you by telephone initially.

IF you do not have a dentist, please call us on 0113 263 2960 or send us an e-mail to [email protected] and a member of our team will triage you by telephone initially, and then signpost you appropriately.

IF you have a dental emergency out of hours, please call NHS on 111 for further advice.

IF you have a cosmetic concern and wish to discuss further, please call us on 0113 263 2960 or send us an e-mail to [email protected] and we will be more than happy to discuss this with you further.

You can also visit our website www.indigodental.co.uk for more updates and further contact information.

We are very grateful for your support and patience and kindly ask you to continue to bear will us. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Kind regards

Yours Sincerely

07/08/2020

Further to ongoing reduction in the severity of the Coronavirus pandemic we are delighted to announce that we are now providing a range of dental treatments including recalls and hygienist sessions.

We have introduced new procedures which will make your visit to Indigo Dental even safer than before.

We are currently open and allocating sessions to deal with active dental problems.

We have had to cancel numerous appointments since the lockdown began 3 months ago and will initially be prioritising appointments for our existing patients who have had dental emergencies or appointments cancelled, in order of urgency.

Please do not attend the clinic unless you have an appointment.

If you have a routine enquiry or dental problem please email the practice or telephone between 9AM and 5pm Monday to Friday.
For certain enquiries, we may even be able to offer a telephone or video consultation, to allow an in depth discussion before attending the practice.

If you have a severe dental emergency outside the hours above, please call NHS 111 for further assistance.

The clinic as you are aware was always a very clean and safe environment. However, we have placed hand sanitisers at entry points, upgraded our PPE and redesigned the patient journey in line with social distancing.

We will be booking your appointments to ensure that the Practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded, by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.

To further avoid overcrowding when you arrive at the practice, we ask that you wait in your car or in a safe place outside of the practice until called in. We will notify you via your phone when you should enter the practice.

We are very grateful for your support and patience and kindly ask you to continue to bear will us. We are looking forward to seeing you soon!

Kind regards

Yours Sincerely

08/06/2020 COVID UPDATE

Following the announcement by the government on 28th May, we are incredibly pleased and excited to announce that we will be re-opening Indigo Dental Practice from Monday 8th June 2020!
We have had to cancel numerous appointments since the lockdown began 3 months ago and will initially be prioritising appointments for our existing patients who have had dental emergencies or appointments cancelled, in order of urgency.

Please do not attend the clinic unless you have an appointment.

At Indigo Dental Practice the most important thing is patient safety and comfort, and that is why we have spent the time of closure upgrading the clinic and introducing the following measures to keep our patients and staff SAFER than ever.

The clinic as you are aware was always a very clean and safe environment. However, We have placed hand sanitisers at entry points, upgraded our PPE and redesigned the patient journey in line with social distancing.

We will be conducting pre-screening tests of patients which may include taking your temperature on arrival.
We will be booking your appointments to ensure that the Practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded.

We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
We will also be creating clinics for patients who are most vulnerable, to help minimize contact with others for this group whilst they are at the practice.

To further avoid overcrowding when you arrive at the practice, we ask that you wait in your car or in a safe place outside of the practice until called in. We will notify you via your phone when you should enter the practice.

We thank you all for your patience during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you again soon!

We will be in touch as soon as we are ready to see you.

Kind regards

Yours Sincerely

Dr. Sanaa Kader and all the team at Indigo Dental Practice

BREAKING NEWS!

The Chief Dental Officer has now announced that dental practices across England will be allowed to begin the process of reopening for all emergency and routine face to face dental care from Monday 8 June.

Understandably, our first priority is the wellbeing of our patients and team, and we are working hard through the details to ensure that this is the case when we re-open.

We will be very tightly controlling our appointment diaries to start with, as our initial few weeks of being open will involve helping those patients who have contacted us during the pandemic with dental problems.

Please do not worry, we will get to all our patients in a timely manner, once we have helped those with pain and urgent dental problems.

We will keep you fully informed throughout this process.
In the meantime, if you have questions, please feel free to send us an email on [email protected]

Indigo Dental Update on COVID-19

The response to coronavirus has required a huge effort by everyone, and particularly those of us involved in caring for patients.

Inside the practice there is a lot going on. We have been advising patients every day on their oral health. This isn’t just patients who are regular patients here, but others who are stuck with nowhere to get advice.

Most of the calls relate to advice on managing a dental problem, and we encourage you to call us during working hours.

In line with continuing Government Guidance, we are unable to treat you face to face. There is a good page from the British Dental Association explaining this here
https://bda.org/advice/Coronavirus/Pages/patients.aspx

With regard to urgent dental problems, the NHS is setting up “urgent dental care hubs” which are practices trained in, and supplied with, the PPE to carry out some of the treatments needed to relieve toothache.

The hubs have very strict protocols in place to avoid the risk of transmitting Coronavirus either to you or from the staff to you. These measures mean they will only be able to see roughly 4-5 patients in a day.

Obviously, this is not enough, and we hope more hubs can be brought into service once the PPE is flowing.

Please only call 111 outside working hours if you have a major problem – but if your problem involves a large swelling affecting your breathing or eyesight, or you have any of the signs of sepsis you should call 999 or attend A&E. Please see
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/sepsis/
for further information on sepsis.

Most of the team are at home of course, and here work is going on too. We have a secure internet connection into our practice and are able to work remotely especially as much of our non-clinical work is online

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our front of house team who will be more than happy to assist you. The easiest way is to e-mail us on [email protected] and we will get back to you

We look forward to hearing from you

Yours Sincerely

Indigo Dental Team

COVID-19, Indigo Dental Update

To all our patients

As you will no doubt be aware, the spread of COVID-19 within our communities is now reaching a phase where if we act to protect ourselves by social distancing, we can reduce the pressure on the NHS and try to reduce the number of mortalities.

Dentistry is High Risk; routine dental procedures generate aerosol which is an ideal medium for the virus to transmit from person to person. Over the last few days, we have reduced our service to emergency only to reduce the risk of transmission for patients and staff.

Today, we have taken the difficult decision to close the practice. For the short term, all routine dentistry will cease, and we will be running an emergency service for our registered patients.

I stress, we are here for you during this difficult time.
I can be contacted daily from 9am until 5pm, including on the weekend, and the best way to do this is send an email on [email protected]

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation with this.

Kind Regards

Dr Sanaa Kader and the team at Indigo Dental
